Bänkli-Clique Oberrohrdorf

About us

The Bänkli-Clique Oberrohrdorf is an association founded in 1961. Its primary goal is to preserve the village carnival tradition on Rohrdorferberg. The clique is proud to be one of the oldest Guggenmusik bands in the canton of Aargau. Traditionally, only men aged 16 and over are allowed to actively participate. The association organizes and hosts various carnival events, including the Bockobig and the Hinterbächliball. Members participate in carnival parades both within and outside the municipality. The clique also takes part in events and village festivals and supports cultural life in cooperation with other village organizations. Active members receive their instruments on loan free of charge. Those interested can become active members, passive members, or sponsors. There is also a subgroup called the Sofa-Clique for long-serving, deserving former active members. This group fosters camaraderie and supports the Guggenmusik band at performances.
