Zytglöggeler Theater Ostermundigen

The Zytglogge Theater Society of Bern is an amateur theater group founded in 1918. Its members come from Bern and the surrounding area. The group produces one play annually, performing crime dramas, comedies, and more challenging works, ranging from modern to classic. The Zytglogge actors work exclusively with professional directors. The group owns its own professional stage equipment, which is also available for rent. Members can participate in productions, both on stage and behind the scenes. They also receive discounted tickets to all of the group's performances and a subscription to the club's magazine. Attending other theaters together is also encouraged, providing inspiration and a platform for comparison and reflection on the group's own work. Membership is open to anyone who loves theater and wants to either act or work behind the scenes.
