Delta- und Gleitschirmclub Freiburg

The Freiburg Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club (DGCF) was founded in 1974 and currently has around 120 active members. The club fosters camaraderie among hang glider and paraglider pilots in the Freiburg Oberland region. The attractive flying areas around Plaffeien and Schwarzsee are used for the sport. A key focus of the club is the environmentally conscious practice of the sport in cooperation with local authorities, agriculture, and tourism. The DGCF offers its members various activities, including seasonal launching and the maintenance of launch and landing sites. Club outings are also organized, as well as special events such as hike & fly days. Members benefit from up-to-date information on wildlife sanctuaries and the maintenance of flying areas. The club is a member of the Swiss Hang Gliding Association (SHV). These activities are open to all hang glider and paraglider pilots.
