Narrhalla Reichenburg

About us

The Narrhalla Reichenburg is an association representing the diverse carnival traditions of the March region. The association is a very varied group with seven different carnival characters. These include the Schellenobmann (bell ringer) with his whip cracker and bell ringer, the Tüfelobmann (devil ringer) with his Laui-Tüfel (little devil), and the Rölliobfrau (female Rölli ringer) with Rölli, Fosli, Domino, and Blätzler. The Narrhalla Reichenburg cultivates traditional customs. It organizes various events such as a night parade, a devil show, and a large birthday celebration. The association also organizes the children's carnival with a parade, food, and prizes for the participants. The group also hosts the Dorf-Gaudi (village fun), a dance evening for all ages. The members are committed to reviving old carnival characters like the Blätzler. The association is also reviving the character of Domino, which originates from the Italian Commedia dell'arte. The carnival in the village begins with the Epiphany bell ringing. On Shrove Thursday, the Röllis visit the school. Carnival Monday is the main day of the carnival festivities, featuring a parade and a mock raid on the retirement home. New members are always welcome.
