About us

The Waldchutz Scouts are a scout troop active in the upper Leimental valley, from Biel-Benken to Rodersdorf. Founded in 1965, the troop welcomes children from several surrounding villages. Scouting is a place for children and teenagers to let off steam and learn more about nature. The organization is values-based and committed to openness, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and environmental protection. The troop offers different age groups for its members. The Beaver Scouts are for children aged five to seven and have activities every two weeks. The Cub Scouts are for children of primary school age, from seven to eleven. The Senior Scouts are for children and teenagers aged eleven and up, including an additional program for teenagers aged fourteen and up. Members participate in activities on Saturdays, usually from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, which take place outdoors in the region. Each troop also organizes a Pentecost camp and a summer camp.
