Gedenkschiessen Rothenthurm

We are the association for the Historical Commemorative Shooting Competition of the Battle of Rothenthurm of 1798. Our primary purpose is the annual commemoration of the heroes of Rothenthurm through a historical shooting event. This commemorative shooting competition takes place at a distance of 300 meters. We conduct the competition in a simple and understated manner. The event includes a solemn memorial service in the parish church of Rothenthurm. Members can participate in the competition as teams or as individual shooters. There are various categories, such as the team competition, a cash-out round, and a junior round. Various awards await those who perform well, including wreath badges, wreath cards, challenge banners, cups, and the Federal Prize. The circle of interested parties includes all sections affiliated with the SSV (Swiss Shooting Association) as well as individual shooters.
