BienenGantrisch

About us

The BienenGantrisch association is a regional beekeeping association. It was formed from the merger of three former beekeeping associations. The association's mission is to preserve and promote the well-being of honeybees. In doing so, it aims to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and pollination security in the region. The association also involves the public in these efforts and invites everyone to actively participate. BienenGantrisch offers its members and interested parties a variety of programs. These include courses such as a two-year basic beekeeping course, which covers both theoretical and practical training. Breeding courses are also offered. The association operates a mating station in Gantrisch for the dark honeybee (Apis mellifera mellifera). Furthermore, the association maintains a swarm hotline for reporting and retrieving bee swarms. There are also regular events and meetings for members. Members can stay informed and exchange information through fact sheets, a marketplace, and a support group. The association's target group is beekeepers and anyone interested in honeybees and beekeeping. It particularly addresses people in the Gantrisch region, which includes Rüschegg, Belp, and Riggisberg. Non-beekeepers are also welcome to become members and participate in events.
