SAC Zaniglas

About us

The SAC Zaniglas in St. Niklaus is an active local group of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) and belongs to the Monte Rosa section. Founded in 1970, the club fosters a strong sense of community between its younger and older members, as well as local mountain guides. The club offers its members a diverse program of alpine experiences, ranging from bouldering for beginners to challenging high-altitude tours. Annual highlights include tour days, climbing and biking days, a youth climbing camp, and a hut festival. The youth section, JO-SAC, also organizes legendary climbing camps that offer plenty of nature, adventure, climbing, games, and fun. Furthermore, the club operates an unsupervised but video-monitored bouldering area in St. Niklaus, which members can access at discounted rates. The target group includes all age groups interested in alpine activities and the camaraderie of the alpine environment.
