About us

The Steinen Carnival Society is the association that organizes the carnival in the village of Steinen. We celebrate carnival from the first day of the carnival season in mid-January until the final day, Shrove Tuesday. Our carnival is meant to delight young and old alike, which is why everyone is invited. Members can participate in various events. These include a masked revelers' meeting, where a dance course is offered. There is a special afternoon for older members, namely "Grandma from Talibasch invites you to dance." We also organize a creative day to paint original Steinen wax masks. The carnival society participates in the parade in Seewen to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Negus Society. The main carnival season includes Shrove Monday and Shrove Tuesday with various parades and musical performances. The target group is everyone interested in the Alemannic carnival, especially the masked revelers and musicians from Steinen and the surrounding area.
