Loipe Matterhorn

We are Loipen Schweiz, an association of 120 cross-country skiing organizations in German- and Italian-speaking Switzerland. Our mission is to actively support these organizations and coordinate their collaboration. We promote cross-country skiing as a popular sport in Switzerland. Our shared goal is to improve quality and ensure financial balance between regions. We achieve this, among other things, through the sale of the Swiss Cross-Country Ski Pass. This pass grants access to a comprehensive network of approximately 5,500 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. Members benefit from numerous additional services in various regions of Switzerland. We also support young talent, as one Swiss franc from every pass sold goes towards developing young cross-country skiers and biathletes. In addition, we offer special programs such as the Heart Trails in cooperation with the Swiss Heart Foundation, which are particularly suitable for beginners. For more competitive skiers, there is the Swiss Loppet series with eleven major races. The Dario Cologna Fun Course is also available free of charge for children and school groups. Our target group includes all lovers of cross-country skiing, from beginners to ambitious athletes, as well as the cross-country skiing organizations themselves.
