Studienchor Leimental

The Leimental Study Choir has existed since 1988 and has been directed by Sebastian Goll since 2004. The choir currently comprises approximately 100 singers. Its aim is to juxtapose contrasting choral works and to illustrate and explore developments in music history through compositions from different eras. The choir presents annual concerts featuring meticulously rehearsed pieces. It offers its members regular individual vocal training. In addition, choir weekends and Saturday rehearsals are held to further practice the works and foster a sense of community. Through concerts and other engagements, the Leimental Study Choir contributes culturally to the region. It regularly hosts open singing sessions. Furthermore, it initiates music education projects to introduce children and young people to classical music. There is also the option of participating in concerts with the additional choir, "Leimental Study Choir Plus," which requires a reduced rehearsal schedule.
