Schützengesellschaft Uetendorf

The Uetendorf Shooting Club (SGU) is a shooting club founded in 1870 in the greater Thun area. Around 70 active members compete in internal and external competitions. The club organizes its own championship and participates in regional, cantonal, and Swiss competitions. The club is actively involved in community life and organizes social events. The SGU fosters a friendly atmosphere among all age groups. It trains young shooters and ensures the safe handling of equipment. Both competitive and recreational shooters are treated equally. The club conducts mandatory training exercises on behalf of the federal government. Club members and interested members of the public can participate in the traditional field shooting competition. The club offers introductory sessions at its 300-meter shooting range. Membership is open to all age groups, from youths to senior veterans.
