Zürcher Landfrauen Vereinigung

The Zurich Rural Women's Association is an organization that unites approximately 5,500 women in the Canton of Zurich. A significant portion of its members are active farmers, but women with any connection to agriculture are also welcome. The association fosters and maintains networks between urban and rural areas. It is committed to preserving and promoting rural cultural heritage and is interested in regional agriculture and products. The rural women are also involved in social and political issues and exchange knowledge among themselves. A key component of the association is its Rural Family Support program, which offers temporary assistance in various family situations. Furthermore, the organization promotes education and imparts essential life skills. The association offers its members a broad network as well as a variety of events, courses, and excursions throughout the year.
