Verein Pendelzug-Mirage Ufhusen

The Mirage Commuter Train Association (VPM) was founded in 2008 to preserve an operational BDe 4/4 II type commuter train, also known as the Mirage. The association's mission is to preserve the historical heritage of vehicles from the Emmental-Burgdorf-Thun Railway, the Solothurn-Moutier Railway, and the United Huttwil Railways, with a focus on newer generation vehicles. Over time, the VPM has acquired additional commuter trains, including RBDe 4/4 I and RBDe 4/4 II models. All vehicles are available for special excursions throughout Switzerland, both public and charter services. The association's members work entirely on a voluntary basis and finance the maintenance and operation of the vehicles through annual membership fees, donations, and revenue from these excursions. Anyone interested is warmly invited to attend workdays to assist with maintenance or simply to connect with the association.
