About us

1949, a cold winter. Ten Vallorbers, passionate about field hockey, form the 1st team of the future club. Field hockey Club Vallorbe was born!

The first committee was formed, under the presidency of Maurice Ernst. However, it was not until a year later that the young club was admitted to the Swiss Hockey League. In 1950, the Municipality of Vallorbe offered the HCV 3m3 of wood. This was to enable them to build the boards needed to demarcate the playing surface. In 1951, a second team joined the club.

24 years after the formation of HCV, the first team achieved the feat! They were in the 2nd league! The following year, 1974, they even took part in the final series to reach the 1st league. Unfortunately, the dream never came true.

For over 75 years now, Hockey Club Vallorbe has been entering one or more teams in the various Swiss league championships. Today, the club's various teams play on the Frézillon (formerly 3 Vallons) indoor rink. The rink was built during the winter of 1999-2000.

HCV currently boasts over 150 players and the only women's team in the Nord-Vaud region. The youngest player proudly wears his equipment at the age of 3!
