SVP Wattenwil

The Wattenwil and surrounding area branch of the Swiss People's Party (SVP) is the largest active political association in the region. It unites long-time residents, newcomers, young and old, as well as committed supporters and those who enjoy discussion. The branch offers its members the opportunity to actively participate in local and cantonal politics. It is committed to issues such as cost discipline in public investments and the preservation of a functioning rural area and a viable agricultural sector. Furthermore, it advocates for a future-oriented education system and the maintenance of commercial infrastructure. Ensuring public safety is another key concern. The target group consists of citizens who share these political positions and wish to commit to municipal autonomy and civic representation on committees and the town council. Members are kept involved through regular meetings and social events such as a raclette evening.
