The Baumgarten Association aims to operate a residential home for people with disabilities in Wenslingen. Its primary goal is to ensure the quality of life for the residents. The home offers support, guidance, assistance, and care for adults with disabilities. The guiding principles are self-determination, participation, and normalization to enable individualized living. There are three residential groups and one shared apartment for adults ranging from active living to retirement age who require a high level of support and care. The on-site day center, which includes a forest group, offers a structured daily routine tailored to individual needs. Through meaningful activities in nature, creating objects, and working with materials, residents experience self-efficacy. The association itself supports the board in its tasks and participates in strategic planning. Members can actively contribute, share ideas, and volunteer at events or on committees. The target group for the residential home consists of adults with disabilities who have a high level of support needs.
