About us
The Homare Karate Do Birr-Lupfig club offers karate. Karate is more than just self-defense; it promotes agility, coordination, fitness, concentration, and self-confidence. You can learn karate at any age and start or return to it at any time. The club practices exclusively non-contact karate, meaning there are no knockdowns or breaking tests. This allows for training together for adults and children, as well as families. Respect and fairness are emphasized during training, and exercises are conducted without physical contact, with punches and kicks being stopped just before reaching the opponent. This develops fine motor skills, body control, and focus. Karate is described as mental training, as it requires a high level of concentration, which can have a positive impact on performance in school and work. In addition to karate, the club also offers Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a movement art that aims to promote the flow of vital energy, Qi. The slow, flowing movements regulate breathing, stimulate the nervous system and metabolic processes, and strengthen the body for the well-being of both body and mind. Children can start karate from the age of 5.
