Hüze-Guuger Zell

About us

The Hüze-Guuger Zell is a Guggenmusik band founded on November 7, 1984. Its name is derived from the first letters of the municipalities of Hüswil and Zell. The band's main activity is preserving the traditions of Fasnacht (Carnival). They organize various events, such as a MEGA Fasnacht party, and participate in parades and gatherings of other Fasnacht groups. The band has active members, honorary members, and passive members. The active members form the musical core of the band and are divided into sections such as trumpet, trombone, and percussion. Members also serve on various committees, including the building committee, the costume committee, and the organizing committee for the summer festival. In addition, the band hosts a "Super Zäu-Kampf" (a carnival-themed competition) with games and a costume contest. Anyone interested in experiencing Fasnacht and being part of a group can apply to become a new member.
