He was married to Lydia Pfeiffer, who contracted tuberculosis in 1911, sought healing in Arosa, and died from her illness in 1914. During this time, her husband – the Heinrich – served as a pastor in Arosa. He composed, wrote poetry, and preached. The church musician Christian Albrecht recites poems from the collection of Heinrich Pestalozzi, which he wrote in and for Arosa, and connects them to organ pieces for the Advent and Christmas season.
