During the holidays, the Avenches National Equestrian Institute offers children aged 7 and over the chance to discover the world of horses.
Fun and educational "discovery" classes
The content of ekiKOOL camps has been created by vets and ethologists. Children will learn the basics about horses, their environment, how to care for them, their activities and how to respect their needs.
The "discovery" classes are adapted to the age of the children. They are a perfect blend of theory lessons, games and workshops taught in a fun and interactive way by passionate teachers.
No time to get bored! From learning how to prepare a horse's meals, to cleaning the stable, going for a ride or discovering the jobs of a vet or farrier, the children will have concrete examples to give them a real insight into the equestrian world.
Children will go home with stars in their eyes!

* 7 to 9 July: My pony in top form
* 10 and 11 July: A horse's life
* 14 and 15 July: How to take care of my pony
* 16 and 17 July: Do you know what makes me happy?
* 18 July: Fast and furious or calm and docile?
* 21 to 23 July: Living with ponies to communicate with them
* 28 to 29 July: Which pony suits you best?
* 30 and 31 July: My pony in top form
* 4 to 6 August: A horse's life
* 7 and 8 August: Living with ponies to communicate with them
* 11 and 12 August: Which pony suits you best?
* 13 and 14 August: A horse's life
* 15 August: Let's eat! Carrots or hay?
* 18 to 20 August: Living and communicating with ponies
Activity times: 8.30am to 5pm
Registration required via the IENA website
Children welcome: 8.00 am to 5.30 pm
Snacks included, children must bring their own picnic lunch
