Opening of the new Diessenhofen location of the exhibition "Motorization and Mechanization of the Swiss Army" and reopening of the exhibitions in the Museum im Zeughaus, Schaffhausen
The opening in Diessenhofen begins with a concert in the square at 10 am. This will be followed by a presentation on the current state of motorization and mechanization in the Swiss Army by Divisional Commander Benedikt Roos.
In a second presentation, the challenging project of the new site will be acknowledged. Finally, the halls will be open to visitors from 11 am.
The museum pub in Diessenhofen will be open from 09:30 to 16:00 for drinks and refreshments. The exhibitions at the museum in Schaffhausen will also be open on this day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the museum pub in Schaffhausen will be closed as an exception.
A historic Postbus will be available as a shuttle between the two locations. First departure from the Zeughausareal Schaffhausen to Diessenhofen at 09:30; then every half hour until 15:30. First departure from Diessenhofen to Schaffhausen at 11:15; then every half hour until 15:45. As the museum's new location is right next to the St. Katharinental train station, the journey by train is very attractive with a journey time of just 10 minutes. Trains depart from Schaffhausen station every half hour (xx:49 and xx:19)
