A rare ensemble lies at the heart of this program: original works for soprano, oboe, and basso continuo are performed by the ensemble under the musical direction of Francesco Addabbo, with soprano Léonie Renaud. Alongside Georg Friedrich Handel’s eponymous cantata, the program also brings together vocal works by Antonio Lotti, William Croft, and Francesco Mancini, revealing the full expressive richness of this intimate and refined ensemble. Sonatas by Bernardo Pasquini complete this musical journey.
