Scented places

Naturmuseum Thurgau, Freie-Strasse 24, 8500 Frauenfeld
Free admission
An installation by Gabriel Kuhn in the museum garden.
On walks along the edge of the forest, the artist Gabriel Kuhn searched for the scents of the flowers of native wild plants. He recorded the scent impressions as poetic descriptions and engraved them, together with drawings of the flowers, on clay tablets. In the museum garden, the ceramic plaques are displayed as an installation in a bed surrounded by the fragrant plants they tell of.

The result is a place to smell and remember.

With the kind support of Roost Schreinerei in Frauenfeld.
