At Catalyse, open mic means open to all, all levels, all ages, all styles.
You're welcomed as if you were at home, but the scene is professionally equipped, with all the microphones and equipment you need, with an accompanying musician (piano or guitar) and sound engineer... Everything you need to ensure that your guests can enjoy your performance, without putting too much pressure on you! The result is a joyful mix of amateurs and more experienced artists, revealing themselves, listening to each other, exchanging ideas, testing, daring...
Whether you sing your own songs or covers, whether you're more of a slam or a classical singer, whether you tell or read your own texts or those of better-known authors, tales, short stories, poetry, prose, humorous sketches... and why not share a letter from a loved one, a composition from a friend or a speech from an old aunt... Anything's possible!

Whether to listen (in the audience) or to participate (on stage), register on catalyse.ch
ON-STAGE PARTICIPATION
So that everyone can share their talent with us, on-stage participation is limited to one 4-minute performance per person. If time and numbers permit, a longer passage or a second performance is possible.
If you would like musical accompaniment, there are two options: you can accompany yourself with an instrument (no MP3 possible), or our accompanist can accompany you (your choice of guitar or voice).
