The exhibition "Pino Musi. Continuum," curated by Michael Jakob, presents a selection of black-and-white photographs that investigate form, matter, and the perception of space. Conceived as a site-specific project, the exhibition engages with the circular shape of the exhibition space and unfolds across six thematic sections featuring long scrolls, or sequences of shots, as if in a single panoramic narrative.
The exhibition invites visitors to explore the diverse themes of Musi's artistic practice, where photography and reflections on space intertwine, transforming the act of seeing into a form of knowledge: the relationship between ruins and the origins of architecture, the meaning of dwelling, the transformations and transitions of built space, and the tensions between the concepts of surface, form, and incompleteness.
The exhibition is rounded out by three large-format works dedicated to the recent restoration of Notre-Dame and a selection of artist's books, demonstrating the artist's focus on bookmaking as an autonomous and interdisciplinary means of expression.
