A brilliant start to the year: Frieder Reich and Stefan Pröll present a varied program ranging from baroque festivity to charming jazz - subtle and full of joyful playing.
Two magnificent instruments meet at the start of the new concert year: the trumpet, often referred to as the "instrument of kings", and the organ, the "queen of instruments". The two musicians Frieder Reich and Stefan Pöll have been working together artistically for several years and are characterized by their fresh programs and the joy of discovery. They combine original works with arrangements from a wide variety of eras with joy and subtlety, always breaking new ground. The program is a varied promenade through music history - from the festive sounds of Bach and Haydn to the operatic drama of Petrali and charming jazz miniatures by Leroy Anderson. The highlight and finale is the majestic final music from Louis Vierne's 1st Organ Symphony and the radiant fanfare of Marc-Antoine Charpentier's Te Deum.
