Ticino is once again the star of a major international sporting event: the Tamaro Trophy 2026 returns on 21 and 22 March.
Following the success of the Tamaro Trophy 2025, Velo Club Monte Tamaro has confirmed its participation in the prestigious ŠKODA Swiss Bike Cup circuit, becoming the first of six stages scheduled for 2026. The Monteceneri track will thus join the races in GP Osterhas (4 April); Moléson sur Gruyère (9 May); Savognin (30 – 31 May); Leysin (17 – 19 July) and Gränichen (12 – 13 September).
The Tamaro Trophy 2026 is set to be a spectacular event where high-profile sport is combined with many events specially designed for the bike community.
Big news on the way: the race will be top of the category as it is classified by the International Cycling Union (UCI) as a Cross Country XCO category HC (Hors Class) and will consequently see the participation of great champions in both the men's and women's categories. Important recognition for the Junior categories (male female) as the race is valid as Uci Junior Series (equal to the XCO World Cup for juniors)!
The world's greatest champions are ready to compete on a circuit that is universally recognised in the MTB world as one of the most spectacular.
More than 600 athletes are expected, including Elite, U23 and juniors, as well as hundreds of amateur bikers who will come to discover our region.
