Dance festival in Morges

Centre ville, 1110 Morges
A local and national event that showcases the art of dance and offers a range of activities.
For the third year running, the entire city will be treated to a variety of performances and introductory courses from 1 to 5 May 2024, kicking off on the evening of 30 April with a pre-opening event open to the public.

The Fête de la Danse is a national event that is repeated in each participating town. In Morges, the twinning will once again be celebrated with a professional dance company from the town of Vertou. Other partners will be joining forces with the Office de la culture to get the public dancing: Fête de la Tulipe, Théâtre des Trois P'tits Tours, Villa Moyard, Cinéma Odéon, Casino de Morges and Musée Alexis Forel with a visit to the "Le Bal" exhibition.

This year's event takes in new venues, from the Halles district to the skatepark in the Parc de Vertou, via the Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville. The streets and Parc de l'Indépendance will be alive with initiations and demonstrations by Morgian dance schools, as well as professional Swiss creations. There will also be an opportunity to discover the story of the great dancer Isadora Duncan, presented by the La Renaissance company, and a lecture and masterclass by the legendary Cuban ballet mistress Loipa Araújo, organised by the PIC Association. Tango and salsa will be celebrated over two rhythmic evenings.
