The exhibition explores the complexity of the globalised economy, combining ethereal abstractions, prophetic discourses and mimetic behaviour. Inspired by the 'cargo cults' of Melanesia, it examines the contemporary fetishisation of brands, ignorance of the conditions of production and imitative behaviour on the financial markets. Through symbolic installations, the exhibition questions the organisational principles of a two-tier system, emphasising that the economy is shaped by cultural representations and socio-technical devices.
