Le coq et la sirène, Works by Jean Lurçat: the new exhibition at Nyon Castle
From 27 February to 10 May 2026, discover the exhibition Le coq et la sirène (The Rooster and the Mermaid), which invites you to immerse yourself in the rich universe of Jean Lurçat. Through lithographs, ceramics and tapestries, the artist's emblematic works display a visual poetry rich in colour and symbolic resonance.
This exhibition reflects Jean Lurçat's close relationship with the Lake Geneva region. From his first stays in Chexbres and Lausanne in 1912 to his decisive role in the creation of the International Centre for Ancient and Modern Tapestry (CITAM) and the Lausanne Biennials, Switzerland occupies a central place in his career.
Opening on Thursday 26 February from 6pm to 8pm.
Every day from 10am to 6pm.
Closed on Mondays, except public holidays.
Free admission on the first Sunday of the month.
Exhibition open from Friday 27 February to Sunday 10 May.
