Art museum with works of Romanticism
The structure of the splendid patrician house represents an architectural jewel of the 19th century. It displays important works of Romanticism, including Spitzweg, Koller, Lenbach, Calame, Segantini and others.

This temporary exhibition brings together some 20 masterpieces from the collection of Winterthur art collector Bruno Stefanini (1924-2018), now held by the Foundation for Art, Culture and History (SKKG), which he established in 1980. The son of an Italian immigrant and a Swiss citizen, Stefanini built a considerable fortune as a construction and real estate entrepreneur, investing - beginning in the 1970s - a considerable portion of his resources in the creation of one of Switzerland's most important art collections, the result of passion, rigor and a sense of patriotism.
