Lumberjack Pentathlon 2026

Held annually in late summer, the Pentathlon attracts thousands of professionals and the public of all ages. The lumberjack competition (Ticino championship), consisting of five exciting events, is accompanied by a forestry fair, a craft market, a Mini-Pentathlon for children, a climbing competition, and a chainsaw sculpture competition. The Pentathlon was created to provide a day of fun for Ticino lumberjacks and their families, promote the forestry profession, raise awareness of the forestry supply chain, and provide visibility to companies and associations active in the forestry sector. The first Ticino edition was held in Mezzovico in 1991, and over the years it has grown to become an unmissable event for all enthusiasts. The 2026 edition in Lodrino is organized in collaboration with the Gruppo Ricreativo Pompieri Montagna 3 Valli.
