The traditional Alpine descent takes place on September 12, 2026.
Gathering of helpers and visitors at 9:00 a.m. at the lower hut, departure at 9:15 a.m. towards the Restaurant Alpenblick.

The traditional Alpine descent takes place on September 12, 2026.
Gathering of helpers and visitors at 9:00 a.m. at the lower hut, departure at 9:15 a.m. towards the Restaurant Alpenblick. There you will be greeted with an appetizer among the grazing goats – sponsored by the Alpe Hannig Foundation and the Restaurant Alpenblick.
At around 10:30 a.m., the march to Saas-Fee will begin.
The procession with more than 100 goats is a unique cultural experience that is rarely seen in this form anymore. The path leads over a beautiful, gently ascending hiking trail through the larch forest.
Upon arrival in Saas-Fee, all helpers and participants are invited to a cozy gathering.
