20.01.2026 18:45 - 19:45
Médiathèque Valais, Bâtiment St-Augustin, Avenue du Simplon 6, 1890 St-Maurice
with Anne Gorouben
French painter Anne Gorouben was born in Paris in 1959, where she studied at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs. She regularly exhibits her paintings and drawings in France and abroad.
In 2003, she presented a tribute to Paul Celan at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire du Judaïsme in Paris.
A keen traveller, she draws on her sojourns to produce a new cycle of paintings (for example, the "Odessa à Odessa" cycle), and always carries notebooks in which she draws before transposing her works onto canvas.
In recent years, her work has focused mainly on drawing. Her latest written and drawn book, "Une jeunesse au secret", was published in 2024 by Les Cahiers Dessinés.
The meeting will be moderated by Geneviève Erard, teacher at the Lycée Collège de St-Maurice.
Free admission, welcome from 6.30pm, meeting starts at 6.45pm.
