An almost perfect proposal

During one of his visits, he accidentally meets his childhood sweetheart Alice (IRIS BERBEN) again. He had proposed to her 40 years ago and failed spectacularly. Even today, the fun-loving and free-spirited art professor is the exact opposite of the old-fashioned, meticulous Walter. The retired engineer's ambition is awakened. He wants to do better this time. Alice, on the other hand, is not even thinking of getting involved in a relationship again. She enjoys her independent life and doesn't want the stress of a relationship. Finally, she makes one condition: Only when he shows genuine interest in her world will he perhaps get a second chance. And so, to Alice's horror, Walter, who has never been interested in art, enrols as a guest student on her course. He is determined to prove to himself and to her that it is never too late to break new ground. But it is not only Alice who presents him with unexpected challenges, but also his encounters with fellow students 40 years his junior. Unexpectedly, Alice and Walter find themselves in a new, exciting chapter of their lives and have to ask themselves: does old love really not rust?
