Man-soo (Lee Byung-hun) has everything: a loving family, two dogs and the house he grew up in.
But after 25 years of loyal work at Solar Paper, he is suddenly made redundant. The mortgage soon remains unpaid, and his wife Mi-ri (Son Ye-jin) urges him to sell the house. Man-soo desperately tries to find a new job, but the competition is just as qualified. So he concocts a plan: he wants to eliminate the competition in cold blood with a bogus company.
