After the church service, the festively decorated cows make their way from the alpine pasture down into the valley, arriving around midday at the festival grounds on the meadow south of the village of Täsch.
Visitors can look forward to regional specialties such as raclette, bratwurst, as well as locally produced cheese and ziger cheese for sale.
Musical entertainment and a convivial atmosphere are also part of the event.
