Musée du Pays et Val de Charmey, Les Charrières 1, 1637 Charmey (Gruyère)
21.04.2024 - 08.09.2024 | Musée de Charmey
Le Musée de Charmey pays tribute to the mountains of La Gruyère and to the tradition of painting with stone.
In their depictions of Moléson, Teysachaux and the Gastlosen, Janet and Bernard Bailly express the ruggedness of the rock, the dark crevices, the abrupt precipices, the suspended meadows and the gentle mountain pastures.
Janet and Bernard Bailly have often travelled, with their canvases and easels, in Switzerland and abroad in search of the views of the masters of the past. These various sources of inspiration have guided them in the creation of "Monuments de pierre".
