Temporary exhibition « Plants, Silent Presences, Charlotte & Viviane Fontaine »

Charlotte and Viviane Fontaine bring together their sensitivity to plants in metal and paper creations. For both artists, plants and the alchemy of transformation remain the driving force behind their creativity. Exhibiting together for the first time, they offer a unique artistic dialogue between daughter and mother.
Charlotte Fontaine is a creator of precious objects and contemporary jewelry. She crafts magical and poetic worlds where plants and metal intertwine.
Viviane Fontaine has been practicing the art of papermaking for fifty years, from gathering plants to producing handmade paper. A recipient of a grant from the State of Fribourg in 2020, she spent time in Japan from March to June 2023 to explore new ancestral paper-making techniques.
Charlotte and Viviane Fontaine observe, experiment, and cultivate the magic of nature. For this exhibition, they have also brought their worlds together in certain works.
