FreeTheBees inaugurates its new discovery trail for the honey bee, a forest insect in Vaulruz!
FreeTheBees' mission is to support the honey bee and help it regain its place autonomously in nature. For several years now, various courses have been organized, to raise awareness among beekeepers and nature lovers about the bee's situation, and habitats (trunk hives, cavities, etc.) or specific constructions have been created.
The programme includes: - Conferences- Workshops- Activities and shows for children- Guided tours
Catering:- Wood-fired pizzas- Raclettes- Various drinks, including Mead

What will you discover?Why and how does the colony live in the forest?- The importance of food sources (pollen and nectar) throughout the year.- Three excavated cavities, one of which is accessible via a platform.- The importance of certain allies of the bee in the fight against its predators.- An exhibition featuring various habitats of the honey bee- Observation of a live colony through plexiglass or via the internet.- Video-sound-box: see, listen, discover the sounds of the colony; as well as insects or birds with a friendly or unfriendly connection to honey bees.
