Martina Gmür - Brush Guard

Martina Gmür (*1979) is exhibiting a selection of works currently in progress at the Schützenlaube Gallery. “As is often the case in Gmür’s practice, the focus is on transformation, on making relationships visible—between material, idea, memory, and space. Her works are precise without being finished. There are breaks, cracks, and hinges. Humor is a quiet element in them—not as a joke, but as a space for possibility, inspired, for example, by David Shrigley,” writes Lorenz Wiederkehr about Gmür’s work in the exhibition *Hell, Heller Now*, Amerbach Studios Basel, 2025.Curated by Eva-Maria Pfaffen We cordially invite you to the opening on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Artist talk: October 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., in the form of an open discussion
