Daniel (Florian David Fitz) wanted to go out with a big bang, but ends up in a psychiatric ward after a failed suicide attempt and is not allowed to leave. He once stood on the stage of the Olympic Stadium, surrounded by thousands of lighters, his song sung by everyone. Today there is nothing left of his fame. All that remains is the song that brought him both a rise and a fall. Dr. Lissi Waldstett (Nora Tschirner) researches the subject of happiness, but hardly earns any money with it and works part-time as a nurse in a locked ward. In order to get attention for her work, she looks for an unusual idea. When Daniel wakes up in her area of responsibility, she senses an opportunity: she offers him help if he supports her in an unusual project. Together they are to make a group of lonely people happier through singing. What begins as a partnership of convenience develops into a chaotic adventure in which both believe they can control the other - and yet become ever more deeply entangled in mutual dependency.
