The Mörel-Filet Chestnut Guild is an association founded in 2006 with over two hundred members. The guild manages the Salzgäb chestnut grove in Mörel-Filet, Valais. It is responsible for the upkeep and care of the Salzgäb chestnut grove forest reserve and offers guided tours. Furthermore, the association creates experiences within the forest reserve. Members can participate in processing the harvest into various products. The guild maintains a detailed inventory of the chestnut trees. It supports cultural events and provides meeting spaces. The association organizes aperitifs, raclettes, and brisolées (chestnut roasts). It also offers chestnut roasting at home. Membership is open to anyone interested in these activities and chestnut culture.
