Natur-und Vogelschutzverein Steckborn und Umgebung

We are the Steckborn and Surrounding Area Nature and Bird Conservation Association, part of BirdLife Thurgau, dedicated to protecting native birds and their habitats. We promote ornithology and work to preserve and enhance biodiversity in the canton of Thurgau. Our members can actively participate in various projects, such as species conservation programs for jackdaws, common terns, swifts, barn owls, and kestrels. We organize excursions and courses for further education in field ornithology and natural history. We also carry out maintenance work in protected areas and plant hedges to protect endangered species like the red-backed shrike. We also offer practical assistance and fact sheets on topics such as the protection of house martins and first aid for injured birds. Membership is open to anyone who wants to get involved in nature and bird conservation in Thurgau.
