About us
The Obersimmental Hunter Association is dedicated to the preservation of a historic military aircraft. Founded to protect the distinctive white Hawker Hunter, the so-called "Papyrus" Hunter, the association offers its members the opportunity to cultivate and experience a piece of Swiss aviation history. A key activity is the organization of the annual airshow in St. Stephan, featuring flight demonstrations with the "Papyrus" Hunter and often other vintage aircraft. The association is also involved in the restoration of other historic aircraft, such as the Dornier Do 27 H-2 and the Noorduyn Aviation AT-16 Harvard IIB. Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the preservation of these flying witnesses to history. The target audience includes enthusiasts of historic military aircraft and aviation aficionados in general.
