The Löwenzahn (Dandelion) daycare center in Uitikon offers childcare places for children from 3 months old until they start kindergarten. It has a total of 44 places, divided into four groups, including a baby group. The center accompanies each child on their individual journey and supports their emotional, social, and intellectual development. Children are given the opportunity to share their environment, build relationships, and learn social skills and conflict resolution. The educational approach is based on the project-oriented Reggio Emilia approach, learning stories, and a situational approach. The design of the educational activities takes into account the needs and interests of each individual child and the group as a whole. Regular cross-group activities are offered to strengthen the sense of community and make everyday life more varied. The daycare center emphasizes physical activity and offers weekly trips to the gym as well as forest days for the older children. Care is provided by a team of qualified professionals and trainees. Parents whose children are enrolled automatically become members of the daycare center's sponsoring association.
