Maxim Lando

Evangelisch Reformierte Kirche, 3770 Zweisimmen
The 23-year-old pianist Maxim Lando combines Bach's monumental Chaconne in Brahms' version for left hand, Schumann's colorful Carnaval, and three newly composed, dramatic dances by Lowell Liebermann.
Alongside the dizzying Chaconne from Bach's Partita No. 2 in D minor (for solo violin), which Brahms transformed into a stunning version for left-hand piano, and Schumann's colorful Carnaval, the 23-year-old New York pianist Maxim Lando presents three dances that he specifically commissioned from the American composer Lowell Liebermann – works that are almost as terrifying as the Frankenstein figure they bring to life musically!
